THE BENEFITS OF EQUINE THERAPY

connection

self-regulation & resiliency

self-regulation & resiliency

Participants build a strong bond with the horses. This connection breaks down barriers and helps youth feel safe, loved, and accepted unconditionally by another living being.

self-regulation & resiliency

Horses mirror our behaviour and emotional energies and provide immediate responses.

Horses' direct feedback helps youth learn resiliency, acceptance of varying situations, and gives them experience navigating changes in their environment. Participants leave with more tools to regulate their own emotions.

self-awareness & leadership

self-regulation & resiliency

self-awareness & leadership

Learning about our own presence and relevance to the response of the horse leads to personal awareness and leadership.

This program fosters self-awareness, reflection and mindfulness. These sessions provide a safe environment for self-exploration.

Horses change lives. They give our young people confidence and self-esteem. They provide peace and tranquility to troubled souls, they give us hope.
